The dawn of gardening season is mid- March. Winter has seemed endless and now Spring has finally arrived. It is time to get some dirt under those fingernails.

March 12 is Plant a Flower Day and a good day to take a few minutes to plant a few flowers. Pete’s Hardware is ready to help you kick off your gardening hobby with a beautiful array of blossoming plants to add color to your landscape. Gardening is a great hobby that is enjoyed by millions of people. It brings a sense of calm to turn the dirt, dig a hole and plant something beautiful to brighten up a spot in your life. If the weather is not cooperating with your plans to be outdoors, you can still celebrate the day by starting trays of your favorite flowers for transplanting outdoors later in the spring.

On March 12, head over to Pete’s Hardware’s Garden center and pick up some annuals or perennials, along with some gardening supplies. Then get digging to not only create a beautiful environment but by planting different varieties of flowers, you can attract beneficial insects like bees and butterflies that help pollinate other plants in your landscape.
